Pasta nests in paprika cream

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pasta (spaghetti or long ribbon pasta)
  • 1 red bell pepper(s)
  • 1 bell pepper(s), yellow
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 75 g sour cream
  • 1 ball(s) of mozzarella (125 g)
  • 200 ml milk
  • 200 ml water
  • Sauce thickener, light
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • Broth (instant)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cook the pasta until al dente. Cut the bell peppers into thin strips. Dice the onions. Lightly sauté the bell peppers and onions. Deglaze with milk and water. Add sour cream and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and a little stock powder, if desired. Simmer for about 10 minutes longer, then stir in the sauce thickener until the desired consistency is reached. Drain the pasta and place it in a shallow baking dish. Mix in the sauce and form small pasta nests with a fork. Finally, sprinkle the diced mozzarella over the pasta and bake in the oven at 200°C for about 10-15 minutes. Tip: Minced meat also goes very well with this dish. Simply brown it and add it to the sauce.
