Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 pears, fully ripe and aromatic
  • 250 ml white wine
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • ½ stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 50 g dark chocolate
  • 125 ml sweet cream
  • 500 g vanilla ice cream
  • possibly whipped cream if required

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Peel, quarter, and core the pears. Sauté in a mixture of wine, sugar, and cinnamon for 10 minutes. Melt the chocolate and mix with the cream and the pear cooking liquid. Keep the sauce warm. Serve the ice cream in dessert bowls. Add the pears and pour the hot chocolate sauce over them. Garnish with whipped cream, if desired.
