Penne with pink sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 ml tomato(s), pureed
  • 1 onion(s), white, diced
  • 1 garlic clove(s), squeezed
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 200 g processed cheese (double cream) or 250 g mascarpone
  • 2 tbsp paprika paste
  • 200 ml cream
  • 1 bay leaf
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • Tabasco
  • 200 g cooked ham
  • 50 g peas
  • 500g penne

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Sauté the onion in butter and press in the garlic. Add the tomatoes and seasonings. When it boils, stir in the cream. Cook briefly and discard the bay leaf. Blend thoroughly with a hand blender. Stir in the cheese. Cut the ham into 2 cm wide strips. Add the ham and peas to the sauce and simmer briefly. Meanwhile, cook the pasta. Mix the sauce with the cooked pasta and serve.
