Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg plum(s) or damsons
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • some cinnamon powder
  • some clove powder
  • 400 g gelling sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Wash and deseed the fruit, then cut into small pieces or roughly puree in a blender. Cook uncovered in a large bowl with the other ingredients (split the vanilla pod lengthwise and tap with the back of a knife, add cinnamon and clove powder to taste) for about 18-20 minutes at 600 watts. Watch the jam carefully during the second half of the cooking time and stir well several times to prevent it from foaming over. Remove the vanilla pod, pour the jam into the prepared jars while still hot, and seal tightly immediately.
