Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg plum(s), pitted weighed
  • 1 kg gelling sugar, 1:1
  • 2 tsp cinnamon, ground
  • 1 tsp clove(s), ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Pit and halve the plums and place them in a large saucepan. Add the preserving sugar, mix well, and heat while stirring constantly. If necessary, add a small cup of water. Let the mixture simmer for about 10-15 minutes, until the plums begin to break down slightly. Now add the spices and mix well again. Test for settling. If the consistency is right, quickly pour the jam into screw-top jars while it’s still hot and cover for about 10 minutes. This yields approximately 10 jars of 400 ml each.
