Pointed cabbage in creamy sauce with bacon

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 m.-large pointed cabbage
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 50 g bacon
  • 150 ml milk
  • nutmeg
  • salt and pepper
  • Clarified butter
  • possibly cornstarch

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cut the pointed cabbage into strips. Dice the onion and bacon. Sauté the onion and bacon cubes in clarified butter until the onion is translucent. Add the milk and bring to a boil. Add the pointed cabbage. Simmer for about 10 minutes over medium heat. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Thicken with a little cornstarch, if desired. Approx. 236 kcal per serving.
