Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 150 g butter or margarine
- 150 g sugar
- 4 egg yolks
- 180 g sour cream
- ½ tbsp schnapps (cherry schnapps)
- 200 g marzipan (raw mass)
- 4 egg whites
- 1 pinch of salt
- 150 g flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 100 g poppy seeds

easy to make – never dries out!
Cream the butter or margarine in a bowl until soft. Then add the sugar (100g is enough if you prefer it less sweet) and egg yolks and continue stirring until the mixture is light in color. Add the sour cream and cherry schnapps (I usually leave this out because of the young team) and mix in. Grate the marzipan mixture into the mixture using a coarse grater. Mix the egg whites with the salt and beat until stiff. Mix the flour and baking powder, add them to the mixture in layers along with the beaten egg whites and carefully fold in. Add the poppy seeds and mix in. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for approx. 50 minutes.
