Potato gratin, the winter dream

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 700 g potatoes, floury
  • 1 dl bouillon (vegetable bouillon)
  • ½ tsp cinnamon powder
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • Pepper from the mill
  • 100 g cheese (Sbrinz)
  • 2 dl cream
  • Butter for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

The wintery taste experience: potatoes, cinnamon, cream, and cheese

Peel the potatoes and slice them into approximately 2 mm thick slices. Finely grate the Sbrinz cheese. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Place the potatoes in a buttered gratin dish. Bring the cream, stock, cinnamon, salt, and pepper to a boil in a small pan. Pour the topping over the potatoes. Place the gratin dish in the lower half of the oven. Bake the gratin for 40 minutes. Spread the cheese over the gratin and bake for another 10 minutes. Tip: You can also butter a small gratin dish for each guest and prepare the gratin in it.
