potato wedges

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 5 potatoes
  • 10 tbsp oil
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • Paprika powder, hot
  • possibly chili powder, from the mill

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into not-too-large wedges. Pour the oil into a large bowl and season generously with the spices, especially salt and paprika. Add the raw potato wedges and mix well to coat the potatoes evenly. Spread the wedges out on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, making sure to add as little extra marinade as possible, otherwise they will be too greasy. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30-45 minutes, depending on the size of the wedges. Then remove from the baking sheet and spread on kitchen paper to absorb any excess fat, then serve. It makes a great side dish for steak instead of the usual potato or pasta salad. I recommend adding herb butter.
