Potatoes: Fruity Mashed Potatoes with Onion and Bacon Topping

The perfect potatoes: fruity mashed potatoes with onion and bacon topping recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 3 piece Potatoes
  • 1 piece Apple
  • 20 g Butter
  • 1 pinch Freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1 pinch Black pepper from the mill
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 50 ml Cream 10% fat
  • 2 piece Onions, small
  • 50 g Diced bacon
  • 10 g Butter
  • 10 g Parsley smooth
  1. Peel the potatoes and apple and chop them into small cubes. Cook until soft in unsalted water.
  2. Drain and put the cubes back in the pot. Add butter, nutmeg, salt and pepper and mash.
  3. Heat the cream and stir into the mash until the desired consistency is achieved.
  4. Peel the onion and cut into half rings (from the side). Finely dice the bacon.
  5. Melt the butter in a pan and brown the bacon and onion rings in it.
  6. Chop the parsley.
  7. Arrange the puree on a preheated plate, cover with the onion and bacon mixture and garnish with the chopped parsley.
  8. The specified quantities are sufficient as a side dish for two people with liver or Kassler roast or as a main course without anything for one person.
