Puff Pastry / Ham and Cheese Sticks

The perfect puff pastry / ham and cheese sticks recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 roll Puff pastry
  • 150 g Black Forest ham
  • 80 g Grated cheese
  • 2 Egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp Milk
  • 1 tbsp Mineral water
  • Pepper from the grinder
  • Poppy seeds, sesame seeds
  1. !. Lay out a roll of puff pastry and brush with beaten egg yolk, milk and water mixture. Spread the Black Forest ham on top. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top.
  2. Lay out a roll of puff pastry and brush with egg mixture and “cover” the 1st roll with it “upside down”.
  3. Connect both rolls by gently pressing them together and halve them lengthways. Then cut 1.5 – 2 cm strips from top to bottom. “Twirl” the individual strips in poppy seeds and / or sesame seeds and place in a preheated oven at 200 ° C for approx. Bake for 12 minutes.
