Puff pastry twists with Nutella and chocolate

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 packs of puff pastry (refrigerated section)
  • 1 jar Nutella, approx. 450 g
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 cup chocolate glaze
  • 200 g powdered sugar
  • 5 ml water

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Preheat the oven to 200°C top/bottom heat (180°C fan-assisted). Carefully roll out the puff pastry so that the long side is facing you. Spread half of the puff pastry evenly with Nutella. Fold the other half over the top. Using a sharp knife, cut into 1.5-2 cm wide strips. Twist the strips and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Whisk the egg yolk and brush the twists with it. Then bake for 15-20 minutes. Meanwhile, melt the chocolate glaze according to the package instructions. Mix the powdered sugar and water until thick. Sprinkle stripes of chocolate and powdered sugar glaze over the baked twists. I made this recipe with my friend in school, and the home economics class thought it was delicious.
