Quark Against Inflammation: Effect and Application of the Home Remedy

Spread the love

The lactic acid bacteria contained in the quark can be used against inflammation. Its cooling properties also help the inflammation to regenerate. In this article you can find out what else a quark wrap is used for and how it is used.

Quark against inflammation: This is how the home remedy works

Quark can help with a variety of problems. However, if these are more severe, you should see a doctor.

  • Quark has a cooling and decongestant effect, which is why it has always been used in the form of wraps to treat bruises, bruises, joint pain, fever, insect bites and sunburn.
  • In the case of inflammation, the cool quark wraps also have the positive effect of the lactic acid bacteria, which promote healing by producing an enzyme.
  • Warm quark wraps stimulate blood circulation and have an expectorant effect, which is why they can be used for sore throats, bronchitis, coughs or hoarseness.

How to apply cold curd wraps

Repeat the application of cold curd wraps two or three times a day.

  • For the application you need 250 to 500 grams of quark, which you should take out of the refrigerator half an hour beforehand.
  • Spread the quark on the wrap and turn it over so that the quark is on the inside and therefore has no direct physical contact.
  • Then wrap the compress tightly around the affected area. You avoid blood congestion by not wrapping too tightly.
  • Now fold the quark wrap over with a towel so that it is well wrapped.
  • Let the whole thing take effect for about 30 minutes. Remove the wrap beforehand if the quark dries up too much, as it will then no longer have the desired effect and will be painful to remove.
  • In the case of inflammation, the wrap should only be left on the affected area for 15 minutes, otherwise the effect will be reversed.
  • Wash the skin area with lukewarm water and dry it with a towel.

The hot variant:

Warm quark wraps should only be used once a day and are not suitable for external inflammation.

  • To do this, heat 250 to 500 grams of quark in a water bath to body temperature.
  • Spread the heated quark on the wrap and turn it over. Make sure that the quark is on the inside and has no direct physical contact.
  • Afterwards, it is best to wrap a towel around you so that the heat is not lost.
  • Leave the wrap on for 30 minutes and wash off the skin areas with lukewarm water after removing.

It still works against inflammation

Inflammation can also be promoted or inhibited by certain foods.

  • Pro-inflammatory foods include white flour products, sugar, and fried foods. Better not.
  • Instead, reach for walnuts, flaxseed, berries or cabbage. These support the immune system with vitamins C, D and E and reduce oxidative stress.
  • Omega 3 fatty acids also help against inflammation. You can absorb these primarily by eating salmon and mackerel.
