Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g quark
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 250 g flour
  • 2 tsp, leveled baking powder
  • 1 tsp, leveled salt
  • Condensed milk, for spreading
  • Poppy seeds, sesame seeds, caraway seeds, ….as required

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Sprinkle with poppy seeds, sesame seeds or as desired

Whisk the quark, milk, and egg well. Add the sifted flour mixed with baking powder and salt to form a smooth dough. Roll the dough into rounds, cut them into slices, and form small rolls. Place the pieces of dough on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and chill for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven and brush the rolls with condensed milk, sprinkling with garnish as desired. Bake for 20-25 minutes at 200°C (400°F) on the middle rack. Serve in a basket. For breakfast or as a side dish.
