  • 2 jars of red cabbage
  • 2 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp celery salt
  • ½ tsp pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Total time approx. 1 day 10 minutes

WW suitable and easy to prepare

Finely dice the onions and place them in a suitable bowl with the red cabbage. Combine the remaining ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour the still-hot stock over the red cabbage and let it steep for about 24 hours. Stir occasionally. I drain the liquid before serving to prevent it from becoming too soupy. It’s equally good for a barbecue or roast.
