Raspberry Jelly Thaler

The perfect raspberry jelly thaler recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 400 g Flour
  • 200 g Powdered sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 250 g Butter
  • 1 Glass Raspberry jelly

FOR PAINTING

  • 1 Egg yolk
  1. Mix the flour, powdered sugar, salt, egg yolk and butter into a dough and shape into a ball. Wrap in cling film. Chill in the refrigerator for approx. 1 hour.
  2. Shape the dough into 3 rolls and cut into thin strips. Shape each part into a ball and make a hole in the dough with the handle of the spoon. Brush the thalers with egg yolk and fill the hole with a dab of jelly.
  3. Bake the thalers at 150 ° C on the middle rack for about 15-17 minutes.
