Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • ½ jar sour cherries
  • 2 tsp cornstarch (e.g. Mondamin)
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 4 tbsp water
  • ½ pack of pudding powder (vanilla)
  • 6 tbsp milk
  • ¼ liter of milk
  • 250 g cream cheese
  • some chocolate shavings for decoration
  • some whipped cream for decoration

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Delicious dessert with a pretty appearance

Drain the cherries, pour the juice into a saucepan, and bring to a boil. Mix Mondamin, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 4 tablespoons of water until smooth and stir into the boiling cherry juice. Add the cherries and let cool. Whisk together the vanilla pudding powder, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and 6 tablespoons of milk. Bring 1/4 liter of milk to a boil. Stir in the mixed pudding powder and bring to a boil once. Stir 250g of cream cheese into the cooled vanilla cream. Layer the cherries and vanilla cream alternately in dessert glasses and then chill. Decorate the dessert with dollops of cream and chocolate shavings.
