Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 1 tbsp brown cane sugar
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 250 ml red wine
- 150 ml meat broth
- e.g. salt and pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 piece(s) lemon peel

quick and easy
Caramelize the sugar in a small saucepan and stir in the tomato paste. Add the port wine and reduce, then the stock. Add the bay leaf and a piece of lemon zest, simmer briefly, and finally remove the bay leaf and lemon zest. This dish goes well with anything pan-fried.
