Roasted Onions
The perfect roasted onions recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 3 Fresh onions
- 3 Red onions
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Sweet paprika
- 0,5 tsp Pimenton de la vera
- 2 tbsp Peanut oil
- Peel the onions and cut into fine strips.
- Put the onions in a pan and sprinkle with the sugar and salt. Then knead the onions with your hands. Add the paprika and mix again.
- Now pour the oil over the onions and mix.
- Slowly fry the onions over a low heat, turning occasionally. When the onion water has evaporated and the onions have turned brown, turn off the pan and let the onions stir a little, they should no longer be moist.
- The fried onions taste good with grilled meat or liver dumplings.
