Drinking pleasure as a grog with sage, for the cold season

Prepare a glass jar with a screw top or a swing top jar. Remove the sage leaves from the sprigs and cut them into thin strips. Place the cut sage leaves in the jar, then cover the leaves with the brown rock sugar. Finally, slowly add the brown rum using a tablespoon. Leave the jar in a cool, dark place (not in the refrigerator) for 2 weeks. The longer the sage steeps, the more intense the flavor becomes. After the specified time, filter the sage liquid through a cloth or fine sieve and bottle. We drink the sage liqueur mixed with hot water on cold winter days. If you prefer, you can enjoy the liqueur neat.
