Sage-Peppermint-Lemon Balm Tea

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 handful of sage leaves, fresh from the garden
  • 1 handful of peppermint leaves, fresh from the garden
  • 1 handful of lemon balm
  • Honey

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

very healthy with honey and tastes/smells not so penetrating of sage

Chop the washed leaves and place them in a teapot, pour boiling water over them, and let them steep, covered, for 5 minutes. Sweetened with honey, it’s very soothing for colds or stomach upsets, but especially helpful for sore throats. Blending it with peppermint and lemon balm also helps the sage taste less like medicine. Even children enjoy drinking it. Of course, you can also use dried herbs for tea. I prefer fresh from the garden.
