Savory French toast with chives and cottage cheese

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 slices of whole-grain toast
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 shot of milk
  • lots of chives, fresh, chopped
  • 200 g cottage cheese
  • n. B. Salt and pepper, mixed, freshly ground
  • some rapeseed oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Whisk the eggs and milk in a bowl, season with salt and pepper. Dip the toast slices into the egg mixture, turn over, and allow to soak. Heat a little rapeseed oil in a pan and fry the toast slices until golden brown on both sides. Drain on kitchen paper and then cut them in half lengthwise to create triangles. Sprinkle with plenty of fresh chives and serve with cottage cheese. A tomato salad goes well with this.
