Sesame chicken with carrot puree

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 500 g chicken breast fillet(s)
  • 2 eggs, whisked
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • salt and pepper
  • 70 g flour
  • 6 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 6 tbsp oil
  • 500 g carrot(s)
  • 1 liter vegetable broth
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp cream
  • 1 ½ tbsp butter
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch(s) of cayenne pepper
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Preparation of sesame chicken: Cut the chicken breast into strips. Whisk the eggs, mix with the milk, and season with salt and pepper. Mix the flour and sesame seeds. Dip the meat strips in the egg and then coat in the flour/sesame mixture. Fry in hot oil in a pan until crispy. Place on kitchen paper and keep warm. Preparation of carrot puree: Peel the carrots, slice them, and cook in vegetable broth until tender. Drain and mash finely. Add the butter, sugar, and cream and mix well. Season to taste with salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, and nutmeg. Sesame chicken pairs very well with carrot puree.
