Anyone who can still remember eating it in garden restaurants and the like will love this “spicy thing.” Spread four slices of bread with butter or margarine. Place cold meats (cold cuts or your own leftovers) on top, then add horseradish and a fan-shaped pickle to the top or to the edge of the plate. Simple, quick, and inexpensive, it’s even suitable as a hangover breakfast.
