Side Dish: Bacon Spaghetti …

The perfect side dish: bacon spaghetti … recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 170 g Spaghetti
  • 2 liter Boiling water
  • 2 teaspoon Salt
  • 75 g Streaky bacon
  • Black pepper from the mill
  1. So far, when there was no sauce, I liked to toss my pasta (spaghetti) in browned butter. Today I did it completely differently because a piece of mixed bacon was approaching the freshness date. Oh dear, what do I do with it? And that’s what came out of it:
  2. Cook the spaghetti al dente in boiling salted water and then pour it into a colander to drain.
  3. While the pasta is cooking, cut the bacon into small cubes and fry it gently in a dry pan over medium heat – it should not be “crispy”, but only give off its aromatic fat and look like meat.
  4. Pour the drained spaghetti into the pan with the bacon, sprinkle with plenty of freshly ground pepper and mix everything well.
  5. I served this hearty, tasty side dish today with a simple romaine salad and chicken wings.
  6. One thing is for sure: we will now have these delicious (so easy to prepare) noodles as a side dish!
