Side Dish: Bacon Spaghetti …
The perfect side dish: bacon spaghetti … recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 170 g Spaghetti
- 2 liter Boiling water
- 2 teaspoon Salt
- 75 g Streaky bacon
- Black pepper from the mill
- So far, when there was no sauce, I liked to toss my pasta (spaghetti) in browned butter. Today I did it completely differently because a piece of mixed bacon was approaching the freshness date. Oh dear, what do I do with it? And that’s what came out of it:
- Cook the spaghetti al dente in boiling salted water and then pour it into a colander to drain.
- While the pasta is cooking, cut the bacon into small cubes and fry it gently in a dry pan over medium heat – it should not be “crispy”, but only give off its aromatic fat and look like meat.
- Pour the drained spaghetti into the pan with the bacon, sprinkle with plenty of freshly ground pepper and mix everything well.
- I served this hearty, tasty side dish today with a simple romaine salad and chicken wings.
- One thing is for sure: we will now have these delicious (so easy to prepare) noodles as a side dish!
