Ingredients

  • 650 g Waxy potatoes
  • 3 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Chilli flakes
  • 5 tbsp Sesame
  • 1 tbsp Coarse sea salt

Instructions

  • Since the preparations do not take long, you can preheat the oven to 200 degrees circulating air (or 220 top / bottom heat) right from the start. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Wash and dry potatoes. The peel can be left on or peeled off as desired.
  • Cut the potatoes in half, then quarter them so that there are nice, even wedges. Place the potato wedges on the tray. Drizzle with olive oil. Scatter chilli flakes on top.
  • For the Gomasio, coarsely grind the sesame and salt in a mortar. Whole sesame seeds can still be seen. Pour approx. 2 - 3 tablespoons of the mixture over the potato wedges. Mix everything well with your hands. Bake in the hot oven on the middle rack for about 25 - 30 minutes until golden and crispy.
  • Either place the remaining sesame salt on the table for seasoning or keep it. The potatoes go well as an accompaniment to fish and meat dishes, as well as to Asian dishes.
  • Tip 5: You can of course also use the finished Gomasio, then the potatoes are prepared even faster.
