Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 500 ml milk
- 10 g cornstarch
- 3 egg yolks
- 40 g sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 3 packets of vanilla sugar
- 7 tbsp vanilla – cocoa powder
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
when there is no vanilla pod available.
Whisk together the cornstarch and 3 tablespoons of the milk. Stir in the egg yolks, sugar, and salt. Bring the remaining milk to a boil with the vanilla sugar and stir in the cocoa powder. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the mixed cornstarch, then bring back to a boil briefly. Remove the sauce from the heat and let it cool. It paired very well with jelly.
