Spaghetti toast

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 200 g cooked ham or salami
  • 200g spaghetti
  • salt water
  • 5 slices of toast
  • 4 tbsp tomato paste
  • 5 slices of cheese (Emmental)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • Spice(s), Italian
  • salt and pepper
  • some fat or oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Break the spaghetti in half about twice and cook in salted water according to the package instructions. In the meantime, peel and dice the onion, and sauté in fat or oil until translucent. Finely dice the salami or ham, add to the onions, and sauté. Drain the cooked spaghetti and add to the pan. Stir in the tomato paste and season to taste. Spoon the pasta mixture onto the slices of toast and top with the cheese. Bake at about 200°C for about 10 minutes, until the cheese has melted. Serve with a salad.
