Ingredients

  • 3 piece Star anise
  • 5 piece Cardamom, black
  • 1 piece Cinnamon stick
  • 4 piece Limes
  • Mint fresh
  • 1,5 liter Water
  • 20 piece Ice cubes (with or without mint leaf)

Instructions

Preparation and preparation

  • Take the cardamom seeds out of the capsules, otherwise the tea will get a smoky note. Rub the peel of one lime and squeeze out the juice of this and another lime. If you want, you can pluck a few mint leaves and fill them into ice cube molds to make beautiful ice cubes.
  • Put the spices together with the lime zest and the mint leaves in a saucepan, fill everything up with water (approx. 1.5 l) and bring to a boil - let it steep for approx. 10 minutes. Let the pot cool down, remove the spices, add the lime juice and chill the tea in the refrigerator.

Serving suggestion

  • Fill the glasses with plenty of ice cubes, add the stalks of the mint and optionally a few leaves, as well as a few slices of lime, pour in the cool iced tea and enjoy. Can also be made wonderfully in advance - simply fill a few bottles or other vessels and store in the refrigerator.
