Spicy barbecue marinade

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 70 g onion(s)
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 4 chili peppers, dried, whole
  • 1 tsp peppercorns, whole, black
  • 50 g chili oil
  • 25 g tomato paste, hot
  • 25 g tomato ketchup
  • 20 g Sambal Oelek, Thai
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp paprika powder, hot
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

enough for about 8 medium-sized pork neck steaks

Roughly chop the onions and garlic and place them in a tall container. Finely crush the chilies and peppercorns in a mortar and pestle and add them to the vegetables. Add all the other ingredients and blend until smooth. Apply the marinade to the washed and patted-dry steaks. Cover with cling film and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours.
