Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 chicken wings, unseasoned
  • 3 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 lemon(s), the juice
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp salt and pepper

  • Herbs of Provence

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 20 minutes

great for perfect barbecue evenings

Wash and dry the chicken wings. Combine the olive oil, honey, and lemon juice (you can use less if you like) in a bowl. This will thicken the mixture. Peel and chop the garlic cloves, and add them. Season generously with salt, pepper, chili, cayenne pepper, and Provençal herbs. Mix again. Then spread the mixture on the chicken wings (I always do this by hand, rubbing everything in well). It’s best to let it soak in overnight. The chicken wings are then grilled on a hot grill, but the oven will certainly work, too.
