  • 600 g potatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup crème fraîche
  • 2 tsp harissa
  • some curry powder
  • some turmeric
  • some paprika powder, hot
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • some rosemary
  • salt and pepper
  • ½ can coconut milk
  • some butter
  • 50 g hard cheese, grated, or grated cheese
  • 1 onion(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Peel the potatoes, clean them under running water, cut them into cubes and cook them in boiling water for about 15 minutes. Peel the onion and garlic cloves and also cut them into small cubes. Heat the butter in a large pan, sauté the onion and garlic until translucent, deglaze with the crème fraîche and add the coconut milk. Add all the spices to the mixture, mix everything well and season to taste, adding more seasoning if necessary. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees (top/bottom heat). Add the potato cubes to the pan, mix everything well and place in a baking dish. After about 20 minutes, sprinkle the cheese over the potatoes, grate it, or shave it, and bake for a few more minutes until the cheese has melted. We served it with merguez beef sausage.
