Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 300 g ham
- 350 g Leberkäse (wood-fired Leberkäse)
- 300 g sausage (Vienna sausage, sliced sausage)
- 1 onion(s)
- 4 gherkins, sweet and sour
- salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
- 5 cm horseradish, fresh
- Cucumber juice
- 100 g mayonnaise

Ham, Leberkäse and sausage
Thinly slice the ham, Leberkäse (liver sausage), and wiener, then cut into strips about 2-3 cm long. Peel and halve the onion, and thinly slice or slice. Thinly slice the cucumber. Marinate everything with salt, pepper, vinegar, and the pickle juice from the pickle jar and mix well. Trim, wash, and finely grate the horseradish, then mix in. Add the mayonnaise and stir through. Season to taste and serve with black bread.
