Spicy winter punch

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 ml orange juice
  • 400 ml juice, apple-cherry-
  • 600 ml grape juice
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 1 slice(s) ginger
  • e.g. chili

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

non-alcoholic, spicy fruit punch

Mix the juices with the cinnamon in a saucepan. Peel the ginger and add a large slice to the pan. Heat and let it steep over medium heat for a few minutes. The longer the ginger steeps in the juice, the spicier the punch will be. Alternatively, you can use powdered ginger. Add a little chili, if desired. Remove the ginger before drinking. Serve hot. The punch warms you up wonderfully and is a great alternative to mulled wine on a cold day. I bottled it as “True Blood” for Halloween and kept it warm in a water bath. It was very well received, and I’ll be making it more often this fall and winter.
