Steak Sandwich

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 ciabatta
  • 300g rump steak(s)
  • 1 tbsp mustard (Dijon)
  • 1 handful of arugula
  • Rosemary, fresh
  • lemon juice
  • olive oil
  • Salt
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

First, pound the meat to a thickness of about 1 cm and sprinkle with fresh rosemary, pepper, and salt. Then rub the pieces of meat with olive oil and sear them, but don’t overcook them. They’re best when they rest for 2-3 minutes out of the pan. Then drizzle the meat with lemon juice and let it soak in. Now spread the mustard on both halves of the sliced ciabatta bread and drizzle with a little olive oil and the meat juices (very important, as they retain the flavor of the rosemary, salt, and pepper). Finally, place the arugula on the bread and the meat between the two halves.
