Strawberry Dumplings …
The perfect strawberry dumplings … recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Strawberry dumplings …
- 1 Egg yolk
- 30 g Butter
- 125 g Quark
- 80 g Flour
- 1 Tablespoon leveled Semolina
- 1 pinch Salt
- Fresh strawberries
Grappa – strawberry – sauce
- 200 g Fresh strawberries
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- 1 tablespoon Grappa
Butter crumbs
- 50 g Butter
- 30 g Sugar
- 4 tablespoon Breadcrumbs
Serving
- Fresh strawberries
- Lemon balm fresh
Strawberry dumplings …
- Mix egg yolks with butter and quark. Add flour, semolina and salt and knead into a dough. Chill for 10 minutes.
- Wash, dry and clean the strawberries. Shape the dough around the strawberries with floured hands (since mine were very large, it was only 3 dumplings).
- Bring plenty of salted water to the boil. Put the dumplings in the water and let stand covered for about 15 minutes. Take out and drain.
Grappa – strawberry – sauce
- Wash, dry, clean and chop the strawberries. Sprinkle with sugar and let it steep for 15 minutes. Add grappa and puree finely.
Butter crumbs
- Melt the butter in a crucible. Add sugar and breadcrumbs and let them brown a little.
Serving
- Place the mashed strawberries on the plates as a mirror. Place one (or more) dumplings on top of each. Spread the butter crumbs over it. Garnish with strawberries and lemon balm.
