Strawberry jam with sparkling wine

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 800 g strawberries
  • 200 ml sparkling wine (preferably red)
  • 500 g gelling sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 minutes; Total time approx. 34 minutes

makes about 10 glasses

Wash and hull the strawberries, and cut them into small pieces. Pour the sparkling wine over them, add the sugar, and let stand overnight. Transfer to a saucepan and boil gently for about 4 minutes. Skim off any foam that forms. While still hot, pour into jam jars and seal.
