Stuffed giant mushrooms

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 mushrooms (giant mushrooms)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 50 g rice, raw
  • Fat, for frying
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • marjoram
  • 100g Gorgonzola

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Preheat oven to 175°C fan/convection oven. Clean the mushrooms: Trim off a small portion of the base and break off the stem. Dice the stem and fry in a little cooking fat along with diced onion and finely chopped bacon. Add rice to the mushroom mixture and fry well. Add a little water and continue frying well. The rice should have expanded slightly. Season to taste and stuff the prepared mushrooms, but only fill them below the top edge. Place the mushrooms next to each other in a baking dish, add a very small amount of water, and place it in the oven. After 30 minutes, place a small slice of Gorgonzola on each mushroom and bake for another 10-15 minutes. The rice will cook in the mushrooms and absorb the wonderful mushroom flavor.
