Stuffed tomatoes with cheese rice

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 tomatoes
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 6 tbsp cheese, grated Gouda
  • 6 tbsp rice, cooked
  • 4 tbsp ham, diced (marbled)
  • 1 tbsp fat
  • 1 tbsp oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Cut the tops off the tomatoes and hollow them out. Season with salt and pepper, mix 3 tablespoons of grated cheese, rice, and diced ham, and stuff the tomatoes. Cover. Sprinkle thickly with the remaining cheese and drizzle with oil. Place in a greased baking dish and bake for 10-15 minutes at 160°C (325°F).
