dessert

Mix the sugar and cocoa powder. Bring the milk to a boil and dissolve the sugar mixture. In the meantime, chop or grind the rusks and add them to the sugar and milk mixture. Add the room-temperature butter and mix well. Form the dough into small balls—about the size of ping-pong balls. Mix together some powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and ground nuts and roll the balls in the mixture. Then refrigerate all the balls until ready to eat. The name comes from the fact that the balls ultimately resemble potatoes. A very popular dessert in Russia.
