Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 ml pear juice, unsweetened
  • 1 pack of gelling sugar 2:1
  • some citric acid
  • 2 tsp vanilla, freshly ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 minutes; Total time approx. 29 minutes

Pour the unsweetened pear juice into a large saucepan. Add the gelling sugar and mix well. Bring to a boil while stirring, then add the citric acid and freshly ground vanilla. Boil for 4 minutes while stirring. If foam forms, remove it from the pan. Test the setting time and then pour into the jars. Close tightly and turn upside down for 5 minutes. Then turn the jars upside down and let cool. The jelly will keep unopened for about 1 year.
