Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 220 g brown sugar
  • 100 g fresh ginger
  • 50 g garlic cloves
  • 3 organic oranges
  • 200 ml soy sauce, light

Peel the ginger and slice into fine strips. Peel the garlic and slice into fine strips. Rinse the oranges with hot water and zest them into fine strips using a zester. Juice the oranges. Place the brown sugar in a saucepan and let it caramelize slightly. Add the ginger and garlic to the sugar and sweat lightly. Then add the orange zest and cook briefly. Deglaze with 200 ml of orange juice and the soy sauce and simmer on very low heat for about 1 hour. Goes well with seared tuna, shrimp, and chicken.
