The Doctor Named the Insidious Danger of Almonds

You can eat no more than 30 grams of nuts per day. Famous nutritionist Svetlana Fus explained why almonds can be dangerous for our bodies.

According to her, almonds improve the functioning of the cardiovascular system and brain function due to nutrients, but eating them before heat treatment can lead to health problems.

She noted that almonds contain the cyano glycoside amygdalin, whose breakdown products give the nut a specific almond flavor and bitterness.

“This releases hydrocyanic acid, one of the strongest poisons…” – the expert warned. Fuss added that after heat treatment (180 degrees for 8-10 minutes), amygdalin will not pose a danger to the body.

You can eat no more than 30 grams of nuts per day. “The advantage of nuts is that they can be stored for a long time without losing their beneficial properties and taste. This product can be taken with you on a long trip and consumed in situations where there is no opportunity and time for a full meal,” the nutritionist said.
