Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 kg wheat flour type 550
- 1 pack of fresh yeast
- 100 g butter
- 450 ml water
- 250 ml milk
- 1 tbsp salt
- 5 tbsp sugar
- 1 handful of sesame seeds, peeled
- 1 egg white
- Fat, for the tray
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes
for 8 rolls
Mix the milk, water, sugar, and butter together and heat in the microwave until lukewarm. Do not allow the ingredients to get too hot, or the yeast will not work properly. Crumble the yeast into the flour mixed with salt. Slowly add the milk mixture to the flour and knead the dough. Add a little more flour if necessary until the dough starts to pull away from the bowl, then knead for about 10 minutes. This can also be done on a board; it doesn’t have to be in a bowl. Form the dough into balls about 6 cm thick, place them on a greased baking sheet, and press them down lightly. The rolls then need to rise for at least 30 minutes. Depending on the yeast, you may need to wait a little longer. Brush the rolls with egg white and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake the rolls at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for 12 to 15 minutes.
