Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 5 apples (Cox Orange)
  • 30 g fat for stewing (Butaris)
  • 2 oranges
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup of cream (200 ml)
  • Cointreau (orange liqueur) to taste
  • Vanilla ice cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Peel the apples, remove the cores, and slice them. Melt the fat and sauté the apples in it (but don’t let them fall apart). Set the cooked apples aside and add the juice of the squeezed oranges, Cointreau (amount to taste), and cinnamon to the still-hot pan. Simmer for about 7 minutes while stirring. Carefully add the apples and fold in. Whip the cream and serve everything on a large plate as follows: apples – ice cream scoops – cream
