Tiramisu

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 8 egg yolks
  • 16 tbsp sugar
  • 500 ml whipped cream
  • 250 g mascarpone
  • 1 pack of ladyfingers
  • 1 cup of strong cold coffee (espresso)
  • cocoa
  • 1 shot of liqueur (clove liqueur)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Got the recipe from an Italian chef

Beat the egg yolks with the sugar until creamy. Then stir in the mascarpone and clove liqueur. Whip the cream until stiff and fold in. Line a square or rectangular baking dish with ladyfingers, brushing them with espresso on both sides beforehand. To prevent the tiramisu from becoming too soggy, do not dip the ladyfingers in the espresso. Spread half of the cream over the ladyfingers and smooth it down. Brush a second layer of ladyfingers with espresso and place it on top of the cream. Spread the remaining cream on top, then cover the tiramisu with cling film and let it sit in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight. Dust with cocoa powder before serving. You can also omit the clove liqueur if you don’t like alcohol.
