Tomato and beer goulash

Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 300 g pork goulash
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 handful of cocktail tomatoes
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp ajvar
  • 500 ml beer, light
  • Margarine for frying
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly sauce thickener

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Season the goulash meat with salt and pepper on all sides and brown it with margarine in a deep pan. Finely chop the onion, halve the tomatoes, and add both to the pan. Just before the meat is cooked through, add tomato paste and ajvar and fry lightly until lightly browned. Press in the garlic. Pour in the beer and let the goulash simmer for about 30 minutes. If the sauce is too runny, add a little gravy thickener. We like to serve it with mashed potatoes or spaetzle.
