Tastes like summer!

Thinly slice the tomatoes and arrange them on a large platter in a shingle-like pattern. Drain the tuna, roughly shred it with a fork, and arrange it evenly on top of the tomatoes. Thinly slice the onion and arrange it on top of the tomatoes and tuna. Prepare a dressing with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, season with salt, freshly ground black pepper, and sugar, then drizzle over the salad. Refrigerate for about 1 hour. Sprinkle with freshly chopped basil before serving. Ciabatta bread is delicious with this. Instead of tuna, you can also use sardines in oil.
