Tuna spread for sandwiches

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • Toast bread, sliced
  • 2 cans of tuna in its own juice, 200g each (drained weight 155g/can)
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s), peeled and very finely chopped
  • 1 tsp capers, very finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp chives, very finely chopped
  • 5 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp cream
  • some salt and pepper, white
  • olives
  • Egg(s), boiled
  • Cucumber(s) (pickles)
  • some powder (brine powder), possibly

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix thoroughly with a mixer. The spread should be nice and smooth and creamy, yet still spreadable. Season with salt and pepper if desired. Mix again. Spread the mixture on slices of toast and garnish with boiled egg slices, pickle slices, and olive slices, if desired. The sandwiches can also be covered with aspic (but this is not necessary).
