Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 cups flour
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 150 g margarine
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 jar cherry(s) or plums or other fruits
  • possibly nuts or almonds
  • possibly cinnamon powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

for fruit cakes, in a springform pan or as a sheet cake

Mix all ingredients except the fruit together until a crumble forms. Then press some into a dish or onto a baking sheet as the base, then arrange your choice of fruit (prepared depending on the variety) on top. Cherries, tangerines, apples, pears, or plums are particularly good. Apples are particularly good at Christmas. These are then sprinkled with nuts or almonds and cinnamon. Cover the fruit with the remaining crumble. Bake at 180°C (fan oven) on the middle shelf for about 30 minutes.
